Aunt Mary Clare will be missed by her family and the numerous people she helped throughout her life. I have fond memories of her when I was a small child in West Virginia. Aunt Coco is finally pain free and I look forward to seeing her youthful and healthy once again. Love Paula

Mary Clare and I first met at the beginning of the school year at Dunbar Elem. in 1968...She began teaching the 6th grade there and I the fifth right next door...No two people could have been more different, but we became devoted friends that lasted all these years. After we went to different schools the following year, we still kept close and she visited in our home many times in the early years and still several times after we moved back to my home in N.C. We had not seen each other for years, but we still kept in touch.
I remember her as a very versatile and interesting person who always could make me laugh and how much I enjoyed her company...She will be missed by so many who were blessed and touched by her compassion and kindness...Our deepest sympathy goes to all of her family and we will remember her fondly always.. Some of what I loved about Mary Claire was that she was generous in spirit, wise and witty up to the end, and didn't suffer fools lightly!
Our last time together was a few months ago, when we enjoyed each other's company over pasta at one of her favorite restaurants.
It's hard to say "goodbye", but I know Mary Claire is pain-free and exactly where she wanted and needed to be- with her departed loved ones and Our Lord. Till we meet again!

You changed my life in so many ways. You taught me how living for God should be done, that prayers really do get answered, and to never give up. Most of all you showed me how to be a true friend. We didn't always see eye to eye but we loved each other unconditionally. I will never forget the "cement marshmallow" that you were and you will forever be in my heart. Tell my daddy hello, I am sure he will be waiting at the gate for you. I love you MC❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
