Wilbert E Ferrell

Wilbert Ferrell 94, of Hurricane passed away October 17, 2017 at his home with family by his side.

Wilbert was preceeed in death by his parents Ivia and Herbert Ferrell; son Jerry Ferrell, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lillian; four children, Les (Judy) Ferrell, Roger (Janet) Ferrell, Beverly (Woody) Wheeler and Shirley (Tim) Wade all of Hurricane.  10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.

 He was a Christian and served the Lord for 65 years. He loved music and playing one of his 26 guitars.

He and his wife sang in many churches in the area for years on a radio program, in nursing homes and hospitals, many funerals and a wedding or two.

Visitation with family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 18,2017 at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane, WV. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Brooks and Rev. David Bailey officiating.  Burial to follow in Mt Moriah Cemetery.
