Ladonna Townsend

To the Townsend family, My heartfelt condolences to Joe and the family for your loss. LD was a special person, full of wit, a great sense of humor, and a kind heart. She will be deeply missed by me and many others. I am so thankful that you are now at peace and are looking down on us with a smile! When I think of LD, I see her as the face of the WV State Police Academy. I know she was dedicated to the department and I am sorry of her passing, but I know she is in a better place with our lord

I was very sorry to hear of the death of Ladonna. I knew her for years through my work with the WV State Police. I was assigned to the photograph laboratory for about 18 years. After I retired, I became an active member of the State Police Retired Members Association. Ladonna was always there for me and countless others. It was an honor to have her accept a nomination to join the SPRMA for her many years of devotion to the State Police. During her illnesses I never heard her complain. She will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Ladonna. She was a great person and we used to talk when I worked in South Charleston. She was a very strong person and always seemed so positive even though she felt really bad at times. Debbie Miller Spencer Detachment Secretary
