Stephen "Steve" Boyd Rappold

Stephen Boyd Rappold passed away in his home in Hurricane, WV on Monday, July 9, 2024. Stephen Rappold was born December 23, 1947 in Milton, WV to Donald Rappold and Billie White Rappold. He graduated from Hurricane High School in 1965. After graduating from the
Huntington Barber College he became the 3rd generation of Rappolds to cut hair in Hurricane. In 1970 he married his high school sweetheart, Loraine Slater. Their son Roderick was born in 1971 and daughter Stephanie in 1977. Steve retired from cutting hair after 50 years and one day. Steve was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He led singing and was an Elder for
several years at the Main Street congregation in Hurricane. Stephen Rappold is survived by his wife of 54 years Loraine; son Roderick and wife Tiffany; daughter Stephanie Brown and husband Michael; and two grandsons, Jaxson Rappold and Jace Rappold. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Stricklin and husband Ray, and several
nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Main Street Church of Christ 2582 Main St. Hurricane, WV. Services will be conducted by Whitney Strickland and will start
at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Potter Children's Home and Family
Ministries at 2350 Nashville Road Bowling Green, KY 42101-4145.
