Sandra Canterbury Nelson Simpkins

Sandra Canterbury Nelson Simpkins went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2025. She was born to the late Samuel T. and Wyona Taylor Canterbury in Winfield, WV on March 20, 1947. Sandy graduated from Winfield High School and retired as a secretary from the magistrate's office in Winfield in 1990. She was a loving wife and cared about her family. She was a Christian with a servant's heart and an active member at the Church of Christ in Lecanto, FL.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Nelson, brothers Homer, Herman, Clarence, Gene, Ray, Wade, and Douglas Canterbury and sisters Laura Robinette, and Velma Harden. Brother-in-law Stephen Nelson and Dalvis Simpkins.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Simpkins, sister Judy Russell, sister-in-law Betty Canterbury, brothers-in­ law Kelly Nelson, Ronnie Nelson (Tami), Donnie Nelson (Jan), Paul Nelson (Debbie), Dale Simpkins, sister-in-law Karen Riley, 2 step children, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 4:00 at the Church of Christ in Lecanto, FL.
