Robert Ray Knowles

Robert R. Knowles of Hurricane West Virginia unexpectedly passed away at his home on Saturday March 15, 2025. Robert was born on March 12, 1964 to the late David R. Knowles and Marie E. Knowles (Kimbler). In addition to his parents Robert is preceded in death with his younger brother David W. Knowles.

Robert was a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and uncle. He worked at Center Industry Corporation in Wichita Kansas for over 30 years as a manufacturing supervisor before retiring in 2010 and returning to West Virginia. Robert was always a kind, smart, loving family man. He was born with cerebral pasly but never let that stop him from his accomplishments. Robert use to love sitting in the car after work and listen to baseball games. He also loved watching football and being with his family.

Robert R. Knowles is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lori Knowles, son James Knowles, daughter Katie Knowles, son in law Zachery Spears, 4 grandchildren Dalton Harper, Skylar Harper, Connor Harper, and Devin Spears, sister Debbie Handley Bird, Brother in law Ricky Bird, and many many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday March 21, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home with Josh Akers officiating. Visitation will be from 12 til 1 prior to the service. Followed by the burial at Bird Cemetery. We will be doing a live feed on zoom for family and friends out of town. Link will be posted to Facebook before services start.
