Michael Burrel Beckett

Michael Burrel Beckett, 73, of Hurricane, passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2026. He was a retired groundman with IBEW Local 317 and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burrel and Naomi Garrett Beckett; his brother, Timmy Beckett; and his nephew, Jason Kitchens.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Campbell of Poca, and his brother, David Beckett of Hurricane; four nephews, Heath Woodall, Corey Kitchens, Dustin Beckett, and Jonathan Johnson; and four nieces, Carrie Ayoob, Nicki Marcum, Kacey Beckett, and Rachel Tyler.

In accordance with his wishes, his remains will be cremated and laid to rest at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, West Virginia.
