Max Martin Midkiff

Max Martin Midkiff, 75, of Hurricane, WV passed away peacefully at home.  He was born on July 31, 1946, in Huntington, WV, and was a son to the late Paul Midkiff and Pearl Osborne Midkiff.  He was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Dreama Midkiff, Vicki Ann Midkiff, William Mark Midkiff, and Richard Midkiff.  Max is survived by 4 sisters, Linda Weaver, Milena Moon, Marsha Midkiff, and Firelei Parks (Dan).  He will also be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children and their significant others, Max Midkiff II (Julie), Meagan MacQueen (Drew), MacKenzi Midkiff (David), Ryan Midkiff, and Cord Midkiff, stepson Chase Lantz (Blaine), as well as 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Max was a very intelligent man. He was an avid reader with a curious mind who considered himself “a jack of all trades, master of none.” He had many achievements that he reached by taking the reins on his life and chasing his passions head on. Max was a nonconformist who strongly believed in doing the things that make you happy. 

The family will be holding a private service to honor and celebrate Max’s life.
