Karen Susan Nelson

Karen Susan Nelson, age 64, of Staffordsville, passed away May 15, 2022 at her home.
Karen was born May 2, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated Fairmont West High School in 1976, and married Stephen Nelson, originally of Hurricane, WV, in 1983.
Karen loved her family, respected the wonder of nature, solved difficult puzzles and could always contribute a funny story or inject some common sense into any situation.
She is survived by two children, Chrystal Nelson, of Staffordsville, and Aaron Nelson, of Louisville; her lifelong friend Linda Hampton, of Moraine, Ohio; one brother, Garry Smith, of Ohio; and a host of cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home in Hurricane, West Virginia.
Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022 and from 10 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home, memorial donations can be made toward funeral expenses, Shiners Hospitals for Children, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
