June Atkins Kester
1968 – 2025
June Atkins Kester, age 58, of Hurricane, West Virginia, formerly of York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Kester; her daughters, Jamie Shaub and Kendra Slothhower; and her mother, Barbara Atkins.
June was a loving and giving person who found joy in helping others. A devoted Christian, she lived her faith through kindness, generosity, and compassion. June had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for travel—especially to beaches and lighthouses, where she found peace and inspiration.
A celebration of June’s life will be held in the spring of 2026, with details to be announced at a later date.
June’s warmth, faith, and adventurous heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
