Jonathon Paul Huffman

Jonathon (Jon) P. Huffman, 41, departed this life on August 14, 2022, at his home in Teays Valley, WV.

Jon a former Pennsboro, WV resident was born January 31,1981 to Lucinda Hilvers Carte. He is the father of his daughter Ava, whom he loved with all his heart. He was a 1999 graduate of Ritchie County High School where he excelled in athletics. Jon was an avid sports fan, golfer and a hard worker.

Jon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul W. Hilvers.

He is survived by his daughter, Ava Marie Huffman and her mother Alicen Roberts. His mother Lucinda Carte and Joseph Carte. His father, Jamie Mitchem. Adopted Father, James E. Huffman.   Grandmother, Norma Hilvers.  Siblings: Lucinda Huffman (Zack), Brittany Reynolds (Nathan), Becky Adkins (Brad), Scott Huffman, Shawn Huffman, Katy Carte (Eric), Grace Carte, Mandi Carte, Ben Carte (Olivia), Danielle Smith and Wesley Mitchem. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jon was very blessed with a large and loving family where he was surrounded by many; aunts, great aunts, uncles, great uncles; and an abundance of friends. We will miss his smile, kind soul and loving heart!

Visitation will be  Friday 8/19/22 at Allen’s Funeral Home, Hurricane, WV at 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Funeral Mass will be Saturday 8/20/22 at Ascension Catholic Church at 11:00am with Fr. Vincent Joseph as Celebrant. A luncheon will follow.

A burial memorial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery in Pennsboro WV.
