John "Sonny" Miller

John E. “Sonny” Miller, 81, of Hurricane passed away in Hubbard Hospice House on July 1, 2017 after a long illness. He was born November 2, 1935 in Plymouth, WV to the late Joseph and Georgia Bell Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Ann Hamon Miller and 9 brothers and sisters. Sonny retired from Kiser Aluminum after 32 years of service and was a member of the Church of Christ. Sonny loved working with his tractors, collecting and making marbles, hunting and fishing in Pocahontas County, collecting antiques and had a passion for fixing things.    

He is survived by his Children John E. L. (Leith) Miller, Boyd A. Miller Marie A. Miller Hoffmann and Brian E. (Kim) Miller. Grandchildren Josh, Jessica (Jeremy), Hannah (Jon), Lilli (Jesse), Ryan, Kelsey, Brianna, and Hunter. Two great grandchild Jackson and Lil-Bit. Brother Gary (Pat) Miller and sister Becky Hawley and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:30 Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home with Minister Doug Minton officiating, Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:00 till service time.
