John Clark Adams

John Clark Adams, 77 of Winfield, WV departed this life on August 25, 2023 surrounded by his family.  He was born on June 16, 1946 in Charleston, WV to Clayton Adams and Pauline Atkeson Adams.  He was a 1964 graduate of Buffalo High School and a lifelong resident of Putnam County.  He attended River Ridge Church in Hurricane, WV.  He was a member of Millwright Local 1755 and worked as a Millwright for 36 years until his retirement in 2002.

John was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Geraldine “Geri” Kirk Adams; two children: Amy Adams Cope (Jamie) and John Adams (Angela); four grandchildren: Hannah Cope Smiley (Damarcus), Noah Cope, Mia Adams, and Dillon Adams.  He is also survived by his twin sister, Paula Adams, as well as several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws.

A celebration of life is planned for August 27, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home in Hurricane, WV with visitation two hours prior.

The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Arvind Viradia, Dr. James Tierney, Diane Lett, Hubbard Hospice House, and Allen Funeral Home for their care during this difficult time.
