James B Bruce

James B. Bruce, 76, of Hurricane, WV died suddenly on June 29, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV.  He was a US Army Veteran, retired from International Union of Boilermakers Local 687 Charleston, SC and International Union of Ironworkers Local 397, Mango, FL. 

James loved telling jokes and never met a stranger.  He was the life of any get together.

Born November 2, 1945 in Bartow, Florida.  Son of the late Joseph Bruce and Thelma Scarborough Bruce.  Preceded in death by brothers Norris and Jack Bruce.

James is survived by his wife of 37 years Patricia LeBlanc Bruce, daughters Kim Bruce, Kelly Bruce Crose and Jamie Bruce Douglas.  Grandchildren Larry Ray Troyer, Cody Douglas, Sara Crose and Kayla Horton of Hurricane, WV and Jacob Douglas stationed in Germany for the US Army.

Great Grandchildren Sylas and Lydia Troyer, Ashton and Aaren Anderson.  Brothers “Monk” Bruce and Jerry Glover.  Sister Janice Spires as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Per James wishes, he will be cremated and no service will be held.
