Irene Hope Cook

Irene Hope Payne Cook 86 of Scott Depot is in heaven this Christmas. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2018 after a long illness. She was a Nurse and caretaker working in hospitals and homes throughout  the valley and was loved by all she came in contact with, She was an avid Doll collector but most of all she was a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elton and Rama Cook, husbands Nelson Payne and John S. Cook Jr. brothers Charles, Holbert and Denny Cook, sisters Joyce Gunter step daughter Sharon Cook and granddaughter Angela.

Those left to cherish her memories are Dianne Criner, Sheila Wright, Keven Payne, Anthony Payne and stepson William Cook and Sister Arbutus Carr, she also has 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 Friday, December 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Dr.  Melissa Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
