Mr. Gregory Lampley was born June 23, 1958 to the late Rosie Lee Lampley and Willie C. Jenkins. He departed this life July 16, 2025. Gregory was a deacon of New Oak Grove Baptist Church in McKenzie. He also served on the town counsel in McKenzie until his health no longer permitted such duties.
Gregory was preceded in death by his wife Pearlean (Davison) Lampley, son Gregory Lampley, Jr., sister Linda Field, and grandson Brendan Davison.
Left to mourn his passing is daughter Stephanie (Tyrone) Eddins of Montgomery, AL and son Antonio (Jan) Davison of West Virginia. Four grandchildren: Makaveli Eddins, TyEcka Eddins, Erianna Davison, and Sh’Diamond Davison. Five sisters: Patricia Lampley of Bessemer, AL; Carol Landers and Augusta Wright of Evergreen, AL; Sylestine McWhite of Pensacola, FL; and, Catherine Myers of Riviera Beach, FL. Five brothers: Micheal (Shiela) Lampley of Stockton, CA; Nathaniel (Cheryl) Grace of Evergreen, AL; Bobby (Denise) Womack of Lathonia, GA; and, Jerry and Terry Samuel of Brewton, AL.
Three sisters-in-law: Betty (John) Coleman of Gantt, AL; Earlean Rudolph of McKenzie, AL; and Corene Shufford of Andalusia, AL. Three brothers-in-law: Cleven Mayle of Akron, OH; John Davison of Mckenzie, AL; and Remus (Carolyn) Davison of McKenzie, AL. Gregory also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
