Glenn David Jones

Glenn David Jones, 71, of Hurricane WV, passed away on November 10th. 

He was born on February 22nd, 1954 to George and Marion Jones of Kearney, NJ.  

After graduating from Kearny High School in 1972, Glenn went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Marietta College in 1976 where he was the president of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and a Masters of Education from Boston University in 1988. 

In 1981, Glenn proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a Non-Morse Intercept Operator during multiple tours across Texas, Germany, and California. In 1982, he earned a diploma from the Department of Defense Language Institute, achieving fluency in both German and Russian.

Glenn married Deborah (Esch) Jones on September 5, 2007. 

He was an avid sports enthusiast with a lifelong passion for the New York Mets and the New York Giants. He cherished his Wednesday evenings spent with his trivia team and found great joy in his love of model trains.

Glenn is predeceased in death by his parents, George and Marion, and his brother, Wayne of New Mexico. 

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children Elizabeth and David; his step children, Jocelyn, Coleman (Amy) and Megan (Chad); his three grandchildren, Alec, Coleman, and Ellie; and his lil buddy Maggie.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home.
