Gary A Erwin

Gary A. Erwin, 78, of Leon formerly of Hurricane went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 13, 2022, at his home after an extended illness.

He was Veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a Paratrooper Vietnam, He retired from Special Metals in Huntington. He enjoyed farming, family and his country.

He is survived by his Children, Mike (Becky) Erwin and Mary Pat (Bill) Freeman, Wife, Kathy Erwin, Grandchildren, Brooke (Zack) Simpson, Garison Erwin, Hayden (Chloe) Erwin, McKenzie Freeman, Madison (Tyler) Rice and Nakota Freeman, Great grandchildren, Grayson, Raygen, Carter, Jax, Will, Leon, Lucy, Amelia. Brother, Doug Erwin, Sisters, Bonnie Dodrill, Juanita Legg and Rita Erwin,

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 til 1 prior to the service.
