Gertrude Graham

Gertrude Spangler Graham 85 of Hurricane formally of Springhill WV, went to be with the lord on July 1, 2022 at Hospice West in So. Charleston WV.

She was a 1954 graduate of Springhill High and a 1958 graduate of Marshall University with a degree in home economics. Gertrude worked for 6 years as a Cabell County home demonstration agent and Charleston job corps as a home Economics teacher as well as a Putnam County substitute teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Charles W. Graham.

Gertrude is survived by 2 sons, David of Hurricane and Greg of Charles Town WV. Also surviving is her sister Phyllis Duvall of Scott Depot and brother James Spangler of Richmond KY. 1 Grandson Jacob Charles Graham of Charles Town.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Kenaston officiating. Burial will follow in Hurricane Town Cemetery.
