Obituary

After a short illness Franklin Lee McCormick (Frank) went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2022.  He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington. Frank was born in Charleston, WV on March 6, 1941 and was a long time resident of Putnam County.  Frank retired from the WV Department of Highways and True Temper. He enjoyed playing sports and sharing stories with his beloved grandchildren. 

Predeceased by his Father, James McCormick Sr., Mother, Pearl McCormick , Son, William (Billy) McCormick, Brother, James McCormick Jr. and Nephew, James McCormick III.

He is survived by his loving wife Frances McCormick.  His children,Cynthia McClure, Sue Setliff (Brad), Lisa Jarvis (Jeff), and David Dionne (Brandy).  His sister Wanda Carney, and his nieces and nephews, John Carney (Tasha) , Joey Carney (Kathy), Kaitlyn, Josh, and Hannah Carney. His grandchildren Erika Godfrey (John) Eva Myrick (Corey), Denver McClure (Amanda), William McClure (Sherri), Patrick Setliff, James Setliff (Elizabeth), Felicia Jarvis, Steven Jarvis (Savannah), Alliyah Dionne, and Hailey Saxton. and 11 great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be held at Allen's funeral home in Hurricane on Tuesday March 1, 2022 from 6:00 -8:00.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm, followed by the graveside service located at Valley View Cemetery in Hurricane, officiated Pastor Bryan Mathews.
