In Loving Memory of Emery “Woody” Layton Woodall II
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emery “Woody” Layton Woodall II, age 76, of Culloden, who left us suddenly at home on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Born to the late Emery and Dorothy Martin Woodall, Emery was a proud graduate of Hamlin High School, Class of 1967, and dedicated many years of service to the United States Postal Service in Culloden.
He was a devoted husband to Mary Lee Bias Woodall, and a loving father to Michele Woodall, Chris Woodall (with spouse Alecia Lambert Woodall), and Jennifer Woodall Wooten (with spouse Derek Wooten). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Tyler Bird, Dylan Bird, Owen Wooten, and Alex Woodall. Emery is also survived by his brothers, Martin Woodall of Dallas and Wayne Woodall of Buckhannon.
Known for his warmth, dedication, and unwavering support for his family and friends, Emery touched the lives of all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
A celebration of Emery's life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather and honor his remarkable journey.
