Donald “Honest Abe” Frazier

Donald Frazier of Hurricane, passed away in the early morning of September 30, 2021 and was at peace knowing Jesus was there to take him home.

Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy who passed in 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Romie and Katherine Dobbs Frazier, his brother Robert “Bobby” Frazier, baby sister Virginia, his mother and father-in-law Mae and Harold Mynes, brother’s-in-law Frank Mynes and Roger Mynes.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law April and Steven Pauley, granddaughters Sabryna and Alaura Pauley, sisters Glady King and Rebecca (David) Gibson and many cousin, nieces and nephews.

Donald graduated from Nitro High in 1968, that summer he started working for FMC and worked there 33 years before the plant closed.

Growing up Donald attended Nitro Church of God. He never lost faith in God, but stepped away from church until 2015 when he started going to Open Door Bible Church with his wife. This Church brought him several friends. The ones outside of church he spoke with often were Monty, Helen and Mr. and Mrs. Bays.

Per Donald’s wished he will be cremated and there will be no services.
