David Lee Wood

David Lee Wood of Teays Valley, WV passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 24, 2020.

Dave was born on June 20, 1968 in Logan, WV.  He grew up in Conley Branch, WV and attended Chapmanville High School.   Dave lived life to the fullest and truly enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  He was a natural at singing and playing guitar.  He demonstrated extreme passion when training and working with horses.  Lover of all animals but always set aside time to play with his favorite furry friendly pals Eli, Willie, Sadie Hawkins, and Stormie Weather.  Most of all, Dave loved being around friends and family telling stories about his adventures, which always had everyone in the room doubled over in laughter. 

He is survived by his wife Terri Moles of Teays Valley, WV.  His children and their mother Kelsi Wood, Adam Wood, and Susan Spence of Paden City, WV. Brothers Craig (Mary) Wood of Chapmanville, WV, Randy (Shirley) Wood of Chapmanville, WV, Mike (Tawnya) Wood of Chapmanville, WV and Mark Wood of Chapmanville, WV.  Several nieces and nephews who he genuinely cherished.

He was preceded in death by parents, Arnold Clay Wood II, Mable Ester (Toppings) Wood, daughter Tabitha Hanson and beloved niece Christine "Missy" (Wood) Elliot. 

A celebration of Dave's life will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Hurricane.
