2 Timothy verse 4 chapter 6-7 says “For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” March 24th, 2026, Dasil Vaught, 88, of Charleston, departed from this earth to be reunited with his wife, Christena, in heaven. Dasil was a husband, father, and grandfather who loved vividly. He was the proud owner of Professional Window Cleaning Service, serving the Kanawha Valley for over 50 years. He was an avid NASCAR and Caitlyn Clark fan. He loved old gospel and bluegrass music, particularly hearing the banjo. But of all the things he enjoyed, his greatest enjoyment came from the love that he poured into his family. He loved his 8 children: Tara “the baby” , Kim (Frank), Tammy (Scott), Cathy, Sharon (Jon), Pam, Clyde, and Adriel, 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. He also graciously provided a father’s love and guidance to the lives of 3 of those grandchildren, Justin, Hanna and Haylea. They are forever grateful for the love he showered them with. The family has comfort knowing he’s back with the absolute love of his life, his wife Christena. Christena’s departure from her life on earth left a void in his life that could only be filled with their heavenly reunion. He was also preceded in death by his parents: Laban Sr. And Bonnie Vaught, siblings: Clyde, Garland, Laban Jr., Sam, Woody, Charles, Joyce, Dorothy, Clara, and Della, along with children: Clyde and Adriel, and grandchildren: Branda, Derrick, Jerry, David, Delilah, Adrianna and Jeremy. He is survived by his siblings: Fred (Wanda), Delmas, Daisy “Mae” and Rema “Gae”, along with his daughters Tara, Kim, Tammy, Cathy, Sharon and Pam, and his name and memory will be carried on by his grandchildren for generations to come. There will be a grave side service Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00 at the Vaught family Cemetary on Nubbins Ridge in Beeson, WV. Live and love each day as if it were your last. You never know what tomorrow holds.
