Christina Mae Bays

Christina Mae Bays, aged 93, of Hamlin, WV, left this earth and joined her Heavenly Father on August 30, 2022. 

Christina was born in Fairborn, OH to the late Ralph and Gladys Lovejoy on December 28, 1928.  

Christina married Junior Bays on January 25, 1945. She helped her husband farm and raised their children. Christina was blessed with a large and loving family— daughters Linda Bailey and Connie (Roger Garland) Chaney; sons Mike (Debbie) Landers and Bob (Bethany) Bays; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was a devoted homemaker and follower of Christ. She was a member of Central Big Creek Baptist Church for over fifty years. Christina lived a full life and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and time with her grandkids.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home in Hurricane, WV. Visitation will commence at 11:00AM and the funeral service at 12:00PM. Burial will follow at Lawson Cemetery in Hamlin, WV.
