Charlotte Thompson

Charlotte Juanita Thompson (Miller), 93, of Culloden formally Hurricane, WV, went to be with the Lord on May 12th at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ora Miller of Huntington and was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Semones of OH, Catherine Damron of NC, Dean Stewart of NM, daughter-in-law, Sheila (Tate) Thompson and loving husband, Wilson Bryan Thompson.

She is survived by her children:  Ronald (Cindy) Thompson, David (Patty) Thompson, Rebecca Racer and Tara (Mike) Hicks.  She is also survived by her sister, Connie Jolly (Longnecker), her grandchildren; Tracy (Dale) Rayburn, Crystal Wilkinson, Natalie (Kevin) Grant, Melody (Dustin) Dalton, Caleb (Kate) Thompson, Trevor Thompson, Isaiah Thompson as well as 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She worked at M.L. Becketts where she made many friends.  She loved to travel and spend time with her family.  She enjoyed crafts, game night, getting her hair and nails done and singing church hymns, reading her Bible and attending church.  She also loved yard selling, especially in Florida.  She loved animals, especially her cat, Sassy.  She loved suckers and if you came to the house, she would always try to get you to take one.  She will be greatly missed. 

Friends and family may call Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6 til 8 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane.  Funeral will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane.  Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Park.
