Charles "Jim" Persinger

Charles H. “Jim” Persinger went to heaven on October 17, 2018 at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris (Bryant) Persinger, his daughter, Diana Lynn White, brothers Robert, Frank and John, sisters Margaret Persinger, Martha Qualls, Catherine Elam, stepson John Bowery and grandson Steven Priddy. He is survived by his wife Rose Persinger, his son David (Chantel) Persinger, daughters Sara (Clarence) Priddy, Leah (Frank) Persinger, stepchildren Charles (Kathy) Goff, Elizabeth Goff and Margaret (Ron) Smith, sisters Pauline Stewart (Walter), Carol Lee Young, and Charlotte Davis (Bruce),as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his grandsons Charles (Chelsea) Smith, Christopher Smith and great granddaughter Abigail Smith. 

Jim was a Veteran having been drafted into the Army shortly after high school. He retired from FMC Corporation with over 30 years of employment. He was a member of the Hurricane First Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Bower officiating. Burial will follow in Sycamore Cemetery on Sycamore Road in Hurricane.
