Obituary for Brenda Carroll Minton

Brenda Carroll Minton, age 77, of Milton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, after an extended illness. Born on July 25, 1948, in Logan, West Virginia, Brenda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Okey Rainwater and Faye Vance, her son Douglas Minton II, and her grandson Nicholas McFann.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Douglas R. Minton; her daughter, Crystal Crisp; and her son, Timothy Minton. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Christopher Tomblin, Traye McFann, Ashton Minton, Bendelynn Minton, Douglas Minton III, several other grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren. Brenda is also survived by her loving sisters, Jeanie Williamson and Connie Hundley Cassell.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, with Minister Michael Circle, Mr. Whitney Stricklin, and Braxton Stricklin officiating. Burial will follow at Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova, West Virginia. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
