KEITH BIAS, 84, of Hurricane, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2019. II Corinthians 5:8 provides Christians assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Keith was born March 11, 1933, in Cabell County, a son of the late Hershel and Mabel Bias.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle Pauline "Polly" Bias Miller; five brothers, Forest Blair Bias, Darrell Ray Bias, Owen Elliott Bias, Robert Kelly Bias, and Charles Hershel Bias.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elsie Bias; two daughters, Kathy (Dave) Cook, Kimberly (Rick) Stoutamyer; three granddaughters, Lauren (Chris) Childress, Kelsie Stoutamyer, and Leslie Cook; two great-grandsons, Logan and Connor Childress; one sister, Shirley (Dallas) Wicker.
Keith was retired from the coal industry, where he worked for Joy Manufacturing, was part owner of Mountaineer Mine Service, worked for Cannelton Industries, and Standard Hydraulics.
He loved his church family at First Baptist Church in Hurricane and was glad to spend the last years of his life as a member there.
