Annabel (Skaggs) Forth

Annabel Skaggs Forth, 101, of Fairmont and formerly of Hurricane went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones after a short illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a foster parent to nearly 100 children over her lifetime.  She lived in Hurricane for nearly 60 years and a former member of the Hurricane First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her Parents Lawrence and Elsie Skaggs and Husband, Leo Roy Forth and she was the last of all her brothers and sister.

She is survived by sons Charles (Natalie) Forth of North Port Florida, Richard Forth of Decatur Texas, Michael Forth of Georga, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the WVU Hospice Team and a very special friend VeLinda Korbut for all their care and companionship over the years while she was in Fairmont.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Losh officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:30 till 1 prior to the service.
