William Cooper Obituary

William Ezra Cooper, 84, of Hurricane, formerly of Oak Hill, passed away on February 19, 2018.  He was a Baptist with a confessed faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. 

Ezra was a retired home builder and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed fishing at Beech Fork Lake.  He also loved gardening and sharing produce with his family, friends, and neighbors.

Ezra is preceded in death by his parents Reverend James Wesley and Ada Cooper, brothers Reverend James Lloyd Cooper and Reverend Carl Joseph Cooper, and sister Lorene Rooper.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Betty Lou Cooper, sons James Howard (Jill) Cooper and Pastor Larry Ezra (Anita) Cooper, granddaughter Allison Bethany (Daniel) Carpenter, and great granddaughter Jovie Grace Carpenter.

Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, at Allen Funeral Home in Hurricane.  Funeral service will immediately follow visitation with Pastor Junior Smith and Pastor Daniel Joseph Cooper officiating.  Graveside services will follow on Thursday at 10:00 a.m at Valley View Cemetery in Hurrican
