Ruby Helen (Young) Johnson

Ruby Helen Young Johnson, 87, of Culloden went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on March 15, 1931 to the late Ralph and Essie Young.  She married the love of her life, Harless Johnson, on August 26, 1948.  She had many hobbies in the life.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, baking cakes, cooking and sewing.  She was the best gravy maker God ever made. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harless Johnson; infant son, Jerry Harless Johnson; grandson, Michael Pierce Johnson; brother, Norman Young; sisters, Ruth Hopkins and Doris Williamson.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Carpenter (Don) of Hurricane; sons, Danny (Frances) Johnson, Dennis Johnson (Jenny) both of Culloden and Chuck Johnson (Edith) of Winfield; 7 grandchildren, Eric (Maranda), Mary Beth, Jason (Miana), Nathan, Brandi (Kevin), Stephanie (Ricky) and Jessica; 11 great-grandchildren; Mikayla, Samantha, Emily, Mahaylee, Laken, Nicholas, Archer, Amelia, Easton, Brooklyn and Parker; brothers, Donald Young (Sandy) and Phillip Young (Ruby); sister-in-laws, Betty Young, Mairlis Edwards and Louise Johnson; brother-in-laws, Ray Hopkins and Gordon Johnson and many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington and everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

A funeral service will be Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Rev. Robert Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Friends and family may call Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane.
