Robert “Bob” Morris Harper died in his home on June 11, 2018, in Hurricane, WV due to complications following lung cancer. He was 69. Bob accepted Christ as his Savior in 1984. The family finds comfort in knowing they will be reunited one day.
Bob was born on November 10, 1948, in St. Albans, WV to his parents, Woodrow Wilson Harper and Uneeda Clark Harper Hill. After graduating from St. Albans High School, he served admirably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served his local community as a member of the St. Albans Fire Department. After medically retiring from City of St. Albans, he started, owned and operated Harper’s Heating and Cooling for 20+ years.
From snow removal to mowing a neighbors grass or just providing a helping hand to anyone in need, Bob was known throughout the community as someone you could depend on to help in any and all situations.
Bob is survived by his wife, Victoria Ann Grim Harper, of 44 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Amy; grandson, Hudson; granddaughter Ellie Kate; his daughter and son-in-law, Lori Ann and Brandon Vovk; granddaughters, Lilliann and Hadlee; and his sister and brother-in law, Sherry and Rocky Tedrow. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew and their children.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 on Friday prior to the service.
