Marilu McGerity Thomas

 Thomas, Marilu M., 87, of Hurricane, WV passed away Saturday January 5, 2019.

Marilu was born August 8, 1931 in Brooklyn New York, daughter of the late Louisa Loehr McGerity and James Andrew McGerity.

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Greensboro College and retired from Wetzel County Schools in 1996. She was former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Martinsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick M. Thomas, her parents and brother, Joseph L. McGerity.

Surviving are her two sons, Joe Thomas and his wife, Tammy of Hurricane, WV and Chuck Thomas and his wife, Barbara of Fort Thomas, KY; daughter, Suzy Broussard of Sulphur, LA; and grandchildren, Patrick Thomas, Jenna Thomas, Isabella Thomas, Abby Thomas, Jessica Broussard and Maureen Broussard; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial mass at 11 a.m., Saturday February 2, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 21 Rosary Road with Rev. Symeon Galazka as celebrant. Interment in Northview Cemetery.
