JoAnne McCallister

JoAnne McCallister, 53, of Hurricane, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 after a short illness. She was retired from Putnam County Schools spending most of her time at Conner Street Elementary and a member of Fairview Primitive Baptist Church in Culloden. She was preceded in death by her sister Nora Woods and Mother Brenda Johnson. She is survived by her husband Homer McCallister and Son Charley and Tiffany McCallister Grandsons Owen and (Bentley on the way) and granddaughter Molly. Sisters Eva Hensley of Poca and Terry Johnson of Hurricane and Brother Timmy Harrison of Poca and Father Harold Johnson of Hurricane. Funeral service will be 12:00 Friday, September 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home with Elder Harold Johnson and Elder Lewis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 till 12 prior to the service. The family would like to thank CAMC General for the care and compassion they gave during her illness.
