Gerald "Mac" "Jerry Mac" Eugene McMellon JR

Gerald Eugene McMellon Jr. also known as Mac or Jerry Mac. Born on August 25, 1953 in Charleston West Virginia. Died at the age of sixty-five on August 28, 2018. Formerly living in Jumping Branch WV for 38 years he was resigning in Greenville SC. Predeceased by his mother Glorado McMellon, and father Gerald Eugene McMellon Sr. Survived by his wife Jewel McMellon, son Logan McMellon and his Fiancé Brett, step-daughter Jessica Mills and companion Kieth Coffman, step-Grandchildren Jada Mills and Carson Coffman. Siblings Yvonne Adamson her husband Eric of Highland Utah, and sister Judy Ball of Hurricane. One Niece and several nephews. All whom he cherished. 

Mac was a CSX Conductor for thirty-eight years. Was known as local chairman of UTU local 118. Mac was a selfless man who always put his family and friends before himself. In high school Mac was state wrestling champion two years in a row. Also an all star baseball player at shortstop. Along with wrestling and baseball he truly enjoyed playing basketball. He was an avid sports fan, loving his West Virginia mountaineers and Boston Celtics. 

Mac will be dearly missed by his wife, son and all who had the honor to know him.

Funeral service will be 12:30 Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church located at 3653 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane WV. with visitation from 11:00 til 12:30 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lively Cemetery, McCorkle WV.
