Ernest Dale Smith

Ernest Dale Smith, 77 of St. Albans passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House West after a short illness. He was Retired Restaurant Manager from Red Lobster, Veteran of the US Army. Started Phase II BMX Racing and manufacturing, Raced BMX bicycles and Sponsored the team that won the World Championships in 1987. He was also Instrumental in setting up BMX in Nitro in 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Rosemary and Son J.R. and his wife Mandie of Hurricane, Grandchildren Jaxon, Weston, Linkon and Harrison. Brother Paul (Phyllis) Hinkle of St. Albans. And a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 6 til 8 on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home and a Graveside Service at 1:00 Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Wallace and Wallace Cemetery in Sam Black, WV.
