Elizabeth Moore Sovine

Elizabeth Moore Sovine, 97, of Hurricane passed away peacefully on Monday August 6, in the company of her family. The daughter of the late Emory Ruffner Moore and Edith Pearl Martin of Scott Depot, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband James Clinton Sovine and brothers Phillip Daniel Moore, Harold David Moore and Buckner Clayton Moore.

She is survived by her children James DeWayne Sovine (Jane) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jane Sovine Sentelle (Sam) of Hurricane, Mark Warren Sovine of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Timothy Dwight Sovine of Hurricane, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Elizabeth Sovine was a member of First Baptist Church of Hurricane and retired as a teacher with Putnam County Schools.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. James Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 til 11 prior to the service.
