Ronald Scott Russell, a fire alarm engineer and lifelong resident of Hurricane, West Virginia, passed away March 4, 2024 at the age of 46.
Scott is survived by his father Ronald Edward Russell; his sister, Amy Jo Russell; and his children Austin Blake Russell, Dustin Tyler Russell, and Breeanna Brooke Russell. He is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Jean Worstel; and his wife, Stacy Hope Russell
Scott was born in Charleston on August 5, 1977 Ronald Edward Russell and Patricia Jean Worstel. He graduated from the National Institute of Technology in 1999 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as the fire alarm technician and programmer for NewTech. On December 10, 1998, he married Stacy, his high school sweetheart. On April 27, 1999, September 11, 2001, and August 5, 2008 respectively, he welcomed his two sons and beautiful daughter, who were the most important part of his life.
Scott was a devoted father an avid fisherman. He enjoyed golfing and fishing on any river he could. He was an amateur guitar enthusiast. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was an athletic man and was involved in many sports activities who excelled at baseball and football during his early life. He was a man of honor and pride who will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
