Bobby Glen Lucas married Clarabell Small on the 23rd of September 1965. They were married at the Naval Base Chapel in Pennsylvania. He served 22 years in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of E-8, Senior Chief Petty Officer.
During his service, he earned the following Decorations, Medals, Citations, and Campaign Ribbons:
National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon; Vietnam Service Ribbon/Two Bronze Stars; Good Conduct Medal (First, Second, Third, Fourth); Combat Action Ribbon; Vietnam Service Medal; First and Second Sea Service Ribbon.
He was an active outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting and all the wonders of nature. He instilled these values into his only child, who has fond memories of these activities with her father.
Later in life, he renewed his interest in Ham Radio, going on to become certified and even teach and give exams, along with volunteering for emergency assistance with the American Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara "Mickie" Lucas, who passed away on December 7th, 2021. He truly loved her and missed her until his dying breath, whereupon he joined her in the blessed hereafter. He is survived by his Sisters, Marie and Shirley, and his Brothers, Golden and Sam. They all mourn his passing deeply, and will forever cherish the memories of their lives with him.
His daughter, Gabriella, shall forever be lost without him to guide her in times of need, and times without.
