Charles Franklin Guthrie

Charles Franklin Guthrie 75 of Hurricane, passed away August 14, 2017 with family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nola Bernice and Garland Rice; grandparents Josephine and

Wilbert Taylor and son Charles Lee Guthrie.

He survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Edna Mae Guthrie; daughters Lisa Ellis of Nitro; and Theresa Baldwin of Hurricane; Grandchildren Martin Jr. (Joey), Cynthia (Jason), Kristina, Kimberly, Dougie; Great grandchildren Dacoda, Talissa, Matthew, Jenna, Alexander, Braden, Jayden, Gloria, and Martin III. and Sister Bonnie Monday.

He was a proud and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. An adored and well-respected member of the community, a generous soul with a huge heart

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m.  Friday, August 18, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, WV.

Visitation with family and friends will be 6-8 Thursday August 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
